My profile photo and resume’ were not the only things I needed to adjust. I needed professional clothes and guidance on how best to relay my military skills to the civilian world.”
— Maj. Jas Boothe, Founder and President, Final Salute Inc.

WASHINGTON, DC, UNITED STATES, August 9, 2018 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Image isn’t everything, but it matters in the workplace. A first impression can make all the difference particularly if a candidate for a job is hired or not. With the success of LinkedIn and other online career sites, applicants need much more than a strong résumé to catch a recruiter’s eye—they need the total package. Next Uniform, a program of Final Salute Inc., assists military women and women veterans become workforce ready.

Next Uniform 2018 scheduled for August 25th from 12:00pm-5:00pm at the Durant Recreation Center (1605 Cameron Street, Alexandria, VA 22314) will provide professional business attire, dress shoes, accessories, make-overs, image consulting, and even head shots free of charge to military women and women veterans.

“I left active duty in 2013 and although the military ensured I was resume ready, I didn’t think about the significant role my image would play as I transitioned into the civilian workforce. A recruiter on LinkedIn told me to change my profile photo to reflect the potential employee, not Major Boothe. My profile photo and resume’ were not the only things I needed to adjust. I needed professional clothes and guidance on how best to relay my military skills to the civilian world,” said Jas Boothe, former Army Major, President and Founder, Final Salute Inc.

A first impression is the vital first step to impressing potential employers. Next Uniform will help event attendees make the essential adjustments needed to amaze their potential employer from LinkedIn to initial handshake.

All participants will be entered for a drawing to win either $100, $250 or $500 gift cards towards the purchase of professional clothing!
