A Lebanese woman has died from complications during a liposuction surgery, according to reports released by local media Thursday, in at least the second such case since June.

Pauline Kassab, 50, reportedly died Saturday as a result of the procedure, which took place in a beauty clinic identified by MTV Lebanon as “T.N.” It was not immediately clear whether Kassab died during or following the cosmetic surgery.

Kassab bears no apparent relation to Farah Kassab, an Iraqi-Jordanian mother who died last June following a liposuction procedure. At the time, Farah Kassab’s death was attributed by authorities to blood clots in her lungs. Dr. Nader Saab, whose clinic was carrying out the surgery, faced accusations of medical malpractice over the case.

The Health Ministry is following up on the case of Pauline Kassab and preparing a file to submit to the judiciary, according to MTV Lebanon.
