Vietnam extends condolences to Laos over former President Khamtay Siphanone’s passing

The Hung Kings’ Commemoration and the Cultural and Tourism Week of the Ancestral Land 2025 will take place from March 29 to April 7 (the 1st to the 10th day of the third lunar month), featuring around 30 activities at the Hung Kings Temple Complex.

The NA Chairman affirmed that Vietnam attaches importance to the role of Uzbekistan in the Central Asian region and wishes to develop traditional friendship and multifaceted cooperation with Uzbekistan.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh will lead a high-ranking delegation from the Vietnamese Government to attend the memorial service for former President of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party and former President of Laos Khamtay Siphandone on April 7.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh said it is a must to clearly identify responsibility of each ministry, sector, and locality, to implement mechanisms and policies in order to resolve institutional obstacles, to boost public investment that would contribute 2% to growth, and to foster traditional growth drivers like investment, consumption, and exports.

The IPU-150, themed “Parliamentary action for social development and justice”, is taking place in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, until April 9.

The Senate President assessed Vietnam as the most dynamically developing country in Asia, a close friend of Uzbekistan with a traditional friendship that has been tested by time, affirming that geographical distance cannot be a barrier for the two countries to develop relations in all fields.

Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez will pay an official visit to Vietnam from April 8-10, according to an announcement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Man’s attendance at IPU-150 continues to affirm Vietnam's role as a proactive, active and responsible member of the IPU and multilateral forums.

The annual activity aimed to further strengthen the solidarity, friendship, and mutual understanding between Kien Giang and Cambodian localities and units.

On behalf of the city’s leaders, Chinh extended condolences to the officials and staff of the Lao Consulate General in Da Nang, expressing deep sorrow over the passing of Khamtay Siphandone.
