Kayleigh Trappe has spoken out following the Dancing With The Stars final last night.
The series came to an end yesterday evening, with Rhys McClenaghan and his pro partner Laura Nolan taking home the Glitterball trophy.
The final four couples to reach the final after an outstanding season were Danny O’Carroll and Salome Chachua, Kayleigh Trappe and Ervinas Merfeldas, Jack Woolley and Alex Vladimirov and Rhys McClenaghan and Laura Nolan.
Wrapping up the final, all seven eliminated celebrities: Mickey Joe Harte, Elaine Crowley, Joanna Donnelly, Yasmin Seky, Gearóid Farrelly, Kevin Dundon and Aishah Akorede and their pro partners returned to the dancefloor with a disco-fuelled groove to Kylie Minogue’s Wow .
It was a series to remember and Kayleigh took to social media today to share her thanks to everyone involved in the show as well as reflect on her experience.
"A word of warning, I will not be crying in this video for a change," she joked as she shared a video to her Instagram story on Monday afternoon.
"Lads, last night was just incredible. I woke up this morning ready to get the schedule sent to me of where I'll be, what dance I'm doing this week, and it didn't come. The comedown is going to be tough for me.
"But we're onto the next thing and I'm delighted for Rhys and Laura. Delighted for the whole gang really, it was a night to remember. Having everybody back, the judges were in good form, the crew were in good form behind the scenes; everything was just perfect last night."
She added: "I can't thank you enough for the support yesterday. I wasn't on my phone much because I wanted to soak it all up but I still can't believe you guys got me to the final. I'm delighted and I couldn't be happier. I'm on cloud nine, thank you."
Kayleigh went on to thank her pro partner Ervinas, as she said: "We're basically in each others pockets for the last two months, we haven't had one day apart, not one day apart, in over three months. We became great friends and I have a friend for life with Ervinas."
She also thanked the choreographers as well as the whole crew behind the scenes at Dancing With The Stars.
"I feel like I've just... well I've lost an Oscar I suppose!" she joked at the end after she finished her list of people she was thankful for throughout the process.
