HIGH POINT, N.C. (WGHP) — These days, it feels like you can’t drive anywhere in North Carolina without seeing a new store or restaurant being built.

That sentiment holds true for much of the country as previously regional brands continue to expand their footprint across the nation.

These are the five fastest-growing brands in the state of North Carolina, according to Yelp.

Cinnabon is expanding its blueprint in the state of North Carolina.

Currently, there are 20 Cinnabon locations in the Tar Heel State. Four of those locations are in the Triad with locations in Greensboro, Winston-Salem, Mebane and Stokesdale.

The Mediterranean fast-casual restaurant is expanding rapidly partly due to its acquisition of Zoës Kitchen in 2018.

Many former Zoës Kitchen locations are now CAVA locations, such as the one at Friendly Center in Greensboro.

Currently, there are 24 CAVA locations in North Carolina, there are 3 locations in the Triad, two in Greensboro and one in Winston-Salem.

In fact, Yelp lists CAVA as the fastest-growing brand in the United States for 2024.

3.) Popeyes Lousiana Kitchen

Everyone remembers the Popeyes Chicken Sandwich craze of 2019 so it’s no surprise to see the fast-food chicken chain making an appearance on the list.

It wasn’t too long ago that North Carolina was considered to be Bojangles and KFC country with Popeyes locations being few and far between.

That has changed in recent years as there are now 34 locations in North Carolina.

2.) Ashley

People in the Triad certainly know a thing or two about furniture with places such as Thomasville and High Point priding themselves on their furniture markets.
