REHOBETH, Ala (WDHN) — After leading the Rehobeth Rebels in tackles for the past two seasons, linebacker Drew Peacock is set to take his talents to Mississippi College.

Peacock has racked up over 100 tackles each of the past two seasons, amassing a total of over 250 throughout his career. He credits his high numbers to his aggressive playing style.

“I’m more of a downhill, headhunter type of linebacker,” Peacock said. “I just love hitting and I love contact, love competing, so I just can’t wait to go and hit, busting heads.”

During a recent visit to Mississippi College, Peacock was impressed by the welcoming atmosphere created by the coaching staff and the crowd.

“I mean, I went to visit there in the fall last fall and the coaches and staff are just so friendly and I just really felt at home,” Peacock said. “And the crowd, even the crowd was getting into it. You know, it’s just everybody is so welcoming. I’m really excited to go and for my football career.”

While Peacock acknowledges the possibility of being redshirted in his first year, if he does play, it will likely be at the Mike inside linebacker spot.
